About the event
This Childbirth Education Group Weekend Intensive is a culturally grounded learning experience created for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) families and advocates. Hosted by The Precious Cargo Foundation, this program centers community, culture, and care while addressing the unique realities BIPOC families often face in pregnancy, birth, and hospital-based care.
Through shared learning, dialogue, and advocacy-focused education, participants will gain tools to better understand the birth process, navigate hospital systems, and confidently advocate for themselves and their loved ones. This space honors lived experience, encourages questions, and promotes informed decision-making rooted in empowerment rather than fear.
The Interest Meeting offers an opportunity to learn more about the weekend intensive, connect with facilitators, and determine if this experience is the right fit for you or your family. This program is free for BIPOC families and open to advocates who support equitable, respectful maternity care.
