The Precious Cargo Foundation (501c3) is a nonprofit organization that focuses on providing resources to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) families to reduce the rising infant mortality rate in Guilford County.
Mission
The Precious Cargo Foundation ensures vital resources for sustaining and nurturing infants in their first year through monthly lunch and learns, volunteer doula/encapsulation services, workshops, and community baby showers.
Vision
At our nonprofit, we are dedicated to advancing health equity and centering community. We strive to address systemic racism and implicit bias within the continuum of care for maternal and infant health. We are committed to radically inclusive community engagement, to ensure that all voices are heard and respected in the process of collectively creating equitable solutions.
